A Networked Access Control System allows one or many doors within a premises to be controlled through the Local Area Network (LAN). This is most commonly referred to as a PC based Access Control System.
A networked solution allows the user to utilise standalone features such as keypads, fobs/Cards and biometric readers as well as giving you control of these through a PC; so long as it is connected to the network.
This solution makes it easier for an end user to register and deregister individuals from the system and their fobs and cards though a PC. Additionally, some networked systems will allow the user to record and log the time individuals enter and exit the building and others can even generate reports such as hours worked for each individual.
